Inspired by the Water Lily, this cocktail blends floral elegance with a Jaliscan twist. Lily of Jalisco is a bright, structured drink that plays on the harmony of green melon, citrus, and absinthe. It’s a vibrant fusion of French finesse and Mexican sunshine—sophisticated but never stuffy.

The inspiration behind this cocktail, as explained by bartender Calliope Draper, “modelled by the classic water lily, the lily of Jalisco combines classic easily accessible ingredients into a drink that’s more than the sum of its parts. Refreshing, elegant, and a striking green reminiscent of the leaves of the Aztec spider lily. This drink is inspired by the the Aztec spider lily, whose white and fragrant flower are evocative of the striking clarity and fragrance of Casamigos Cristalino.

Ingredients

  • 1.0 oz Casamigos Cristalino

  • 0.75 oz Midori

  • 0.75 oz Cointreau

  • 1.0 oz Fresh Lime Juice

  • 1 bar spoon Absinthe

  • Garnish: Orange Twist

Directions

  • Add all ingredients except absinthe to a shaker with crushed ice.
  • Whip shake and strain over crushed or shaved ice into a rocks glass.
  • Float absinthe on top the drink.
  • Garnish with a twist of orange and a straw.
