Tasting Notes
- Appearance: Brown sherry
- Aroma: Orange crush, lemon, vanilla, a slight hint of menthol, clove, cinnamon. This rye is extremely estery!
- Taste & Mouthfeel: Banana bread, cinnamon, maple, vanilla, roasted cocoa nibs are present. Rich and robust.
- Finish: The finish is long and sweet.
- Distinctiveness: The 'Citrus and Botanicals' definitely come through on this expression, it's somewhat along the lines of Angel's Envy Rye but less sweet and synthetic.
- Overall Drinkability & Balance: This bottle is crushable but beware: (1) It's bottled at cask strength and packs a punch and (2) only 303 bottles were released so if you happen to get your hands on one, you need to savor it!
