What the Doctor Ordered
October 11, 2024

What the Doctor Ordered, delivers all the indulgence of an ice cream float without the guilt! Inspired by Kat Sears’ love of ice cream floats, this drink balances Glen Grant 12 year with black walnut and a splash of Dr. Pepper syrup, and a hint of saline for depth. It’s a playful, refreshing treat that’s complex yet smooth—just what the doctor ordered!Â

The inspiration behind this cocktail, as explained by Kat Sears, home bartender currently living in Fogo, Newfoundland, “
I love a good ice cream float and always have. I would eat a different flavor everyday if I could, but know it won’t agree with me in the end. I wanted to give the feeling of a float without and consequences. Bringing out the nutty and bright flavor of the whiskey, whilst also not overwhelming each ingredient as a whole. This way I can have my cake and eat it too!”
