Tasting Notes
- Appearance: Tawny
- Aroma: Aromas of caramel, amber wildflower honey and nougat are followed by peppery spice from new charred oak
- Palate: Rich and spicy on the palate, reminiscent almost a Spanish-style rum, the caramel transitions to a burnt brown sugar note and is greeted with dried apricots, candied spiced hazelnuts and nutmeg.
- Finish: The finish is long and sweet.
- Distinctiveness: There's a lot of delightful rum qualities to this expression. While not outrageously distinctive, this expression is delicious.
- Overall Drinkability & Balance: This whisky is very crushable but comes in at 56.3% ABV so watch out! Despite the higher ABV, it's surprisingly smooth.

Comments / Conclusions:
Signal Hill holds a significant role in our shared histories, spanning from Cape Town to Kowloon, California to Newfoundland, where it served as a beacon for safe passage into harbors, facilitated communication between villages through its signal fires, received the world’s inaugural transatlantic wireless signal in Morse Code, and witnessed the pioneering non-stop transatlantic flight carrying airmail; these historical milestones of connection and communication inspire the craftsmanship of their whisky.
