Aged in sherry casks, this whisky stands out for its traditional Highland character, balancing sweetness with a touch of spice.
Glenfiddich 14 is a smooth, easy-drinking whisky with a nice mix of vanilla sweetness and a touch of spice that’s perfect for Scotch newbies.
The Balvenie 12 Year Old is a quintessential Speyside single malt, known for its rich, honeyed character and artisanal craftsmanship. Aged in a combination of traditional oak and ex-bourbon casks, this whisky is renowned for its smooth, well-rounded profile, with notes of vanilla, honey, and a subtle hint of spice.
An older bottling from Diplomatico, a somewhat similar expression would be the Mantuano. Faint on the nose, where this rum shines is on the palate.
This “rum” is actually made on Vancouver Island completely from honey! Needless to say, there’s an abundance of nectarous honeyed notes as well as overripe tropical fruits, crème brûlée, marzipan, nutmeg, and ginger notes.
