The Balvenie 12 Year Old is a quintessential Speyside single malt, known for its rich, honeyed character and artisanal craftsmanship. Aged in a combination of traditional oak and ex-bourbon casks, this whisky is renowned for its smooth, well-rounded profile, with notes of vanilla, honey, and a subtle hint of spice.
This “rum” is actually made on Vancouver Island completely from honey! Needless to say, there’s an abundance of nectarous honeyed notes as well as overripe tropical fruits, crème brûlée, marzipan, nutmeg, and ginger notes.
Carefully crafted and cask-perfected at The GlenAllachie Distillery in Speyside, Meikle Toir – The Chinquapin One is named after the unique species of virgin oak used for maturation. While only 5 years old, it’s bursting with notes of vanilla, burnt toffee, nuttiness, florals and sweet smoke.
