Carefully crafted and cask-perfected at The GlenAllachie Distillery in Speyside, Meikle Toir – The Chinquapin One (Mee-kuhl Tor) (Chink-a-pin) is named after the unique species of virgin oak used for maturation. While only 5 years old, it’s bursting with notes of vanilla, burnt toffee, nuttiness, florals and sweet smoke.
TL;DR this is a must-have in your collection if you’re a fan of peated Scotches.

Tasting Notes
- Appearance: Golden straw - the bottle is modern but still with a classic feel.
- Aroma: Enormous amounts of sweet vanilla smoke! It's glorious. This is followed by a bouquet of wildflower honey, buttery sweet spices (clove, nutmeg), rose (beta damascenone vibes), toasted oak, licorice, burnt toffee and a slight nuttiness
- Taste & Mouthfeel: The mouthfeel is viscous/oily. More sweet smoke on the palate that's mouthwatering and enticing. Notes of burnt marshmallows, nutty (hazelnuts/brazil nuts), charred wood & smoke guaiacols.
- Finish: Oily vanilla incense linger. Long, pleasant finish.
- Distinctiveness: There's a unique combination of that sweet peat, vanilla and spice.
- Overall Drinkability & Balance: Very different than what we'd expect from a peated Scotch as the peat is derived from Speyside. This is something you could sip on all day or night whether it's a how summer day or cold winter night. Also, we love a 48% ABV whisky!
